Little Blessing at Goodyear

Well today I spent a couple of hours at Goodyear.  I just needed to see our friendly (no sarcasm, seriously) men at the Goodyear to get an oil change.  It ended up taking awhile.  But there are always hidden blessings in things that may seem annoying or inconvenient.  In this case, it was being able to watch cable tv.  And they happened to have, believe it or not, HGTV on.  Heck yes.  And one of the episodes involved a family that had two biological children and four adopted children and were moving to Guatemala to work alongside an orphanage and start a school for girls.  So cool.

Anyway, we have chosen to not have cable tv.  It helps our budget and is just another way to live simply.  But every once in awhile, it is nice to watch things like House Hunters and Property Brothers and the news.  I don’t normally enjoy watching the news.  But every now and then it is helpful to know what is going on in the world, like our presidential election results tonight.

And today, I was able to watch some House Hunters at Goodyear.  And it brought a smile to my face, because the Lord provides little blessings in the midst of our routines.  It may sound silly to say that was a blessing, but I love finding the simple ways the Lord works among the mundane routine of life.  Our Father knows each of us so well and it constantly blows me away.
